Southern Chemicals Limited (So-Chem) is an oilfield, Petrochemical and Industrial supply and Service Company, located at #2 Tarran Industrial Estate La Romain. The company was established in 1986 to supply the need for quality chemicals and services in a growing petrochemical and industrial market.

Over the Thirty (30) years of our existence, SO-CHEM has developed and marketed chemicals using both local and foreign materials and local expertise to meet and surpass the most stringent test applicable to the needs of oil producers in the industry. The accompanying service is second to none. Proof of this is substantiated in our dealings with various sections of The Petroleum Company of Trinidad and Tobago Ltd., The National Gas Company of Trinidad & Tobago Ltd., The Desalination Company of Trinidad & Tobago Ltd. and most of the Leases Operators. Our client base attests to our ability to professionally serve the growing needs of the industry.

SO-CHEM provides a very wide range of Oilfield Treating Chemicals- i.e. Demulsifiers, Reverse Demulsifiers/ Water Clarifiers, Paraffin Inhibitors, Paraffin Dispersants, Corrosion Inhibitors, Viscosity Reducers, H2S Scavenger, Biocides and Oxygen Scavengers. SDS and Product Data sheets for all products are available upon request and all our chemicals have the approval of the Ministry of Energy and Energy Based Industries.

Our client list includes Heritage Petroleum, Lease Operators Limited, Staatsolie (Suriname), Trinity Exploration, Touchstone, New Horizon and most of the other small leases. We have also supplied chemicals to Desalcott and National Gas Company.
